There’s a love/hate affair with spoilers from fans, so we’re happy to say Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar is pure speculation based on some reports we’ve seen online.
So, this is your last chance to stop reading and look away.
Still here? Good. Now, let’s get to the reasoning as we see it.
Lesnar’s too strong
First of all Roman Reigns finding a way to beat Brock Lesnar isn’t as out there as it sounds as Lesnar’s been dominant.
Reigns is Vince McMahon’s golden choice and now that they’ve found him a gimmick that works and the boos don’t sting since we’re supposed to boo him, it all works out.
In fact, this is probably the first time in Reigns’ WWE career where he’s by a majority of the fans as they don’t mind him being shoved down our throats.
I wasn’t a fan of his, but I enjoy his Head of the Table character.
And he’ll win this match because Lesnar’s run through him at every opportunity, so we expect him to survive Suplex City and come out the winner.
In fact, we think this match will be along the lines of Drew McIntyre’s win over Lesnar since Paul Heyman’s involved with both men in some degree.
But wait, there’s more
Another little tidbit we found curtesy of @leakedwrestling (https://www.instagram.com/p/CU29mJHBCLN/) is that after Crown Jewel it looks like Lesnar’s not scheduled to appear in the WWE until 2022’s Royal Rumble.
While it’s possible Lesnar will win and then disappear to incense the fans calling him a part timer again and help make Reigns more likable, we doubt it.
Especially since there have been reports of McIntyre being the next in line to challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship and that’s a confrontation we can see every week is WWE wants to show it.
With Lesnar losing after his build Reigns will look truly unbeatable, which will give McIntyre the opportunity to win the title in front of the fans in what should be an awesome match.
This feud could last until WrestleMania, but then there’s still rumors that the Rock will return to face Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, so we’ll see how it all works out.
Honestly, we’d love to see Lesnar win the title again and knock Reigns down a few pegs so he has to build himself back up. We think that’d be an awesome storyline similar to Lashley’s rise.
He’ll become more aggressive and intense as he’ll seek to silence the naysayers.
But then he’s McMahon’s favorite and is very popular right now, so that could be asking a lot.
Who do you think will win? Let us know in the comments below along with why you think so. We’d love to hear your thoughts.
