Meghan Markle’s brother, Thomas Markle Jr, has criticised his sister over changing her personality following her marriage to Prince Harry.

Meghan decided to part ways with her family and relocated overseas, where she has since then forged a new life with Harry. During this time, she welcomed her two children: Archie and Lilibet.
And yet, not everyone has been left feeling happy for her. Instead, Thomas has been focusing on his own career. He is currently on Australia’s version of ‘Big Brother VIP’, where he spoke on how Meghan’s marriage has made him a household name.
In an episode of the show, he is heard saying: “I’m Thomas Markle Jr, my sister is Meghan Markle, Prince Harry is my brother-in-law. That’s how I got famous.”
Although Thomas is clearly getting on with his life, he could not help but have a dig at Meghan. He felt that Meghan was putting her kids in an unfair position by not letting them see their wider family.
In this way, she is only exacerbating the current tensions that are present within her family. And given that she is also not very popular with the Royal Family, she does not have many people to count on.
This is something that Thomas could not get his head around. He added: “You can’t treat your family like you are embarrassed at where they come from.
“She’s very selfish, self-centred. I think she’s very shallow. You are never too good for anybody ever. It’s rude to treat people like that.”
Thomas has never hidden his disdain for Meghan. In 2018, he reportedly wrote a letter to Harry warning him over marrying his sister. Harry may have overlooked the contents of the letter, but the consequences of this have stayed with him.
According to the letter, Thomas had written the following: “As more time passes to your royal wedding, it becomes very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.
“Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.” It is safe to say that Meghan and her brother will not be reconciling any time soon.
