It’s a good time to be Thunder Rosa in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). She’s got her spot in the semi-finals to crown the first ever TBS Champion. 30 of her last 31 matches ended with her on the winning side. She’s easily one of the top names in their ever growing women’s division, and the top rival of current AEW World Women’s Champion, Britt Baker. Rosa has earned her spot, and could be using her influence to bring in a dream opponent for a future show stealing match.
Ember Moon Had No Place To Thrive In WWE
In one of the latest batches of WWE releases, Ember Moon was dropped from the NXT 2.0 roster. She was in her second stint in NXT, having come back and won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships with Shotzi Blackheart, before the brand changed around her. The character she built had no place in the world of NXT 2.0, and she had already flopped on the main roster – so WWE cut her contract.
However, this is not due to her being a bad worker in the ring or on the microphone – simply due to WWE not knowing how to use her talents. A veteran of the independent scene, Moon has a lot of leftover respect from her time as Athena. This is the respect that has Thunder Rosa wanting to stare her down across the ring.
Thunder Rosa Wants To Tear The House Down With Moon
While speaking on BustedOpen, Thunder Rosa would discuss wanting to face Ember Moon – someone she never had a chance to face. The full quote is as follows.
“Ember Moon. I have not had the opportunity to work with her. She’s one of the Dallas veterans – I mean Texas veterans. She worked for so long in NXT and I don’t think they gave her the platform she deserved. Because she’s so good and so underrated. So, hopefully, I get the opportunity to work with her. It would be a banger.”
AEW will have to wait until 2022 to be able to sign the likes of Ember Moon, Keith Lee, Karrion Kross and the others released recently. Moon is going to be a top free agent, meaning it’s possible this match can happen in AEW, or somewhere like Warrior Wrestling.
