The TBS Champion Tournament is set to crown the first TBS champion. This is the second women’s championship in AEW and similar to how the TNT championship works. Nearly all participants in the tournament could probably become the first TBS champion. But there are a couple of them that seem more ready for the championship run than others. All the woman in this list have currently been belt as future champions and winning the belt could really put them onto a different level. Also the fact that Battle of the belts specail will most likly have Britt Baker going against the TBS champion. These rematches could be worth the watch.
Kris Statlander
A wrestler that hasn’t been talked about for a while is Kris Statlander. It felt like for a while that she could be the AEW women’s champion, but over the months, she has fallen to the waste side. It doesn’t look like she will be challenging for Britt Baker’s belt for a while. Kris Stlander winning the TBS championship could build her up again as one of the top women in the company. She is one of the few members of the roster that could be built as the challaneger too beat Britt Baker for the belt. It does feel like Thunder Rosa will be the one too beat Britt Baker but Kris Statlander differently feels like a future champion similar too how the TNT Champions feel.
Ruby Soho
An ex-WWE roster member winning the first championship weirdly always feels like the right move in AEW. This is mostly due to the wrestler being underbooked. Ruby Soho seems to be one of the top picks of fans. After her WWE run not amounting to much, becoming the first TBS champion just feels right.
It is also similar to how Jericho and Cody won the first AEW world championship and TNT championship. Ruby Soho’s rise in AEW could be a great one, and it could all start with the TBS championship.
