Alec Baldwin’s tell-all interview on ABC News about his prop gun incident, which killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, has sent shockwaves around the world, given that the actor implied that he had no culpability.

An investigation is currently being held in order to determine how the bullet ended up being in the gun in the first place.
While a certain subset of people have blamed Alec due to the fact that he should have been more careful, it looks as though the actor does not see himself being responsible in any light.
This is particularly hard to fathom, as it would suggest that there is no perpetrator. And yet, people believe this to be anything but the case. During the interview with ABC, Alec said: “Someone is responsible for what happened.
“It’s not me. Honest to God, if I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself. If I thought I was responsible, and I don’t say that lightly.”
The response on social media was one of mass condemnation. A large proportion of people felt that Alec came across as very selfish, given that the interview had been directed solely on himself rather than trying to ascertain what may have happened.
One person on Twitter wrote: “How did Alec Baldwin’s lawyers allow him to do this interview?. This is nothing but a clout chasing performance. We should be centering the victim, not him.”
Clearly, the reaction did take a toll on Alec as he followed up the interview with an Instagram post stating the importance of family and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin.
Once again, Alec garnered some backlash with this post as it looked to be rubbing salt into the wound of Halyna’s family. In a post to his followers on Instagram, Alec remarked: “You have given me a reason to live.
“Our life with our family is all I care about.” No matter what Alec ends up doing, there are always going to be people who are dissatisfied with the way in which he has been acting ever since this tragic incident occurred.
