In just two weeks, Bryan Danielson could very well claim the AEW World Heavyweight Championship from Hangman Page. This would allow him to scratch one of the goals off his ‘to do’ list in his new home in professional wrestling. However, it isn’t the only thing that Danielson hopes to accomplish – with starting a faction something else he hopes to achieve.
AEW Is A Very Faction Rich Promotion
AEW is perhaps one of the most faction driven companies in wrestling today. The Inner Circle, The Elite, Best Friends, Hardy Family Office, The Factory, Nightmare Family and Team Taz all get some level of TV time weekly. While speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Bryan Danielson would mention one name he’d long to have in a group of his designs.
“If I can get a group together, I’m thinking of a younger talent or two, and that develops into stories within that. Look at Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho. By Sammy joining the Inner Circle, he’d become a bigger star. He then stepped up to the plate and hit home runs. That’s how you build young stars. A guy that comes to mind for me is Daniel Garcia.”
Bryan Danielson Could Coach Daniel Garcia To Actually Win Big Matches
Right now, Daniel Garcia is running with Jeff Parker and Matt Lee of 2point0. Alongside the loud mouthed tag team, he’s gotten into matches against the likes of CM Punk & Eddie Kingston. However, while he is getting high profile matches – Garcia is losing these matches every time. 2point0 might support him all the same, but neither man is really an expert on claiming huge wins.
Bryan Danielson however, currently has a nearly perfect record in AEW. Aside from going to a time limit draw with Kenny Omega, Danielson has beaten everyone put in front of him – even when faced with hard hitters like Miro. Add in that Garcia wrestles a style very similar to that of Danielson – and you have a potentially perfect student & teacher combo right there.
Would Daniel Garcia be better with a mentor in Bryan Danielson? Who else should Danielson mentor? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
