Details on Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship continue to come out weekly. The latest detail came via Spears’ Instagram where she performed something of a monologue/skit about how her therapy sessions went while under the conservatorship.
Britney Spears Goes into Her Therapy Sessions for Instagram Followers
In the video, Spears doubled as both herself and her therapist. The 40-year-old singer is shown as a patient laying on the couch and responding to her therapist who she portrays as condescending or trying too hard. It was this therapist that she had to see three times a week and whom Spears described as being abusive.

While she has referred to her conservatorship as a draining, horrible experience there was some humor in her performance. Again, as the therapist, she spoke of Spears’ “psychosis” and “blockages” were going into her head which was making it difficult for her to “do the work” in helping her.
Meanwhile, she is portrayed as being over all of it responding with “Yes, I’m feeling fine. I had a great year. I had a great day.” The video was accompanied with a message to followers that read:
“As much therapy as I’ve had to do against my will … being forced to pay and listen to women telling me how they are going to further my success … it was a joy … no really … 10 hours a day, 7 days a week … no lie … in this beautiful nation it would only be fair for me to dedicate my life to skits to the wonderful therapist!!!! I genuinely thank you dear sweet hearts for your efforts!!! The end is me celebrating … it’s clearly OVER because my medication is working ‘Murica !!!! Pssss BALLS and KISS MY MOTHER F***ING ASS!!!!!
Yes, the emojis were omitted. In November, the conservatorship was ended following a hearing back in June where she detailed the impact the whole ordeal had on her. Britney Spears posted the video during a vacation in Mexico with her fiancé to celebrate her 40th birthday.
