Bachelor star Clayton Echard has admitted that he made a lot of mistakes during his time as the male lead for The Bachelor.
Clayton Echard Admits He Was Not The ‘Perfect’ Lead For The Bachelor
Clayton, for his part, is one of the very few people who has had the ability to understand what it is like to be a lead, as well as being a contestant vying for affection.
After all, he was a contestant on Michelle Young’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ during which he was eliminated on the 6th week.
Although it could be expected that he learnt a lot from his time and therefore was better prepared to deal with being a lead, it turns out he ended up making mistakes that he would rather have done without.
In an interview with Us Weekly, he said: “I definitely was not perfect. I did some things wrong, but I did everything under my volition and what I thought was best.”
This begs the question, what were some of the things that Clayton ended up doing wrong? Well, he made one of the biggest mistakes by informing more than one woman that he was in love with them.
In fact, according to the trailer, he stated that he was in love with three women as well as having had intimate moments with two of them.
Therefore, when it came time to walk away and decide who he wanted to go with, it is fair to say that this was not something that was an easy decision.
And yet, he stood by his decisions. He stated: “I can’t say that I have any regrets because if I would’ve done things differently, would it have been my 100 percent authentic journey?”
With that in mind, Clayton is excited to see his time back on the show by virtue of the fact that it has been a huge learning curve for him.
And this will only go on to help him in any potential relationship that he gets into as he will understand the hurdles he needs to navigate as well as the things that he has done well.
His following comments confirmed as much: “I think it’s safe to say — on my side of things here, so my personality will come out…I’m excited.”
