Julie Bowen, best known for being the star of ‘Modern Family, has clarified her sexuality.

The star made it absolutely clear that she is in fact heterosexual. And yet, in the process of doing so, she happened to let on to the fact that she was once in love with a woman.
But given that the attraction never ended up being reciprocated by the other person, it is fair to say that nothing happened thereafter going forward.
In her comments on her “Quitters” podcast, Julie said: “I’m straight. I’ve always been straight. I was in love with a woman for a while but she didn’t love me back.
“She liked women but she didn’t like me in that way. It never really took off so I never really had to challenge my concept of my sexuality.”
Julie did not reveal the name of the person which is understandable due to the additional negative media scrutiny that could emerge.
Not only that, but perhaps the other person would not be too happy about having their identity disclosed. However, her guest on her podcast, Becca Tilley, happened to recall her own tough experience in coming out.
After all, Becca did happen to appear on ‘The Bachelor’ where she was pursuing a man. With that being said, Julie was adamant that people’s sexual preferences were things that should remain private.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “What you do with your body should not be the first thing we know about people or care about, its your business.”
The fans on social media began to mock Julie’s comments. A certain subset of people felt that her comments were designed to generate publicity since there was no reason to disclose this since nothing ended up happening.
One person wrote: “I’m straight, I was in love with a woman. ok girl.” It is fair to say that Julie did ruffle a few feathers with her comments.
