Emily, the mother of Blake Moynes who is a star on The Bachelorette, has revealed that he is currently in hospital in Africa due to a severe infection.

The 32-year-old was in the area to advocate for endangered species before he started experiencing complications. And it got so serious to the point where he called his mother, detailing what he had been suffering from.
This was shocking to say the least since Blake did have to undergo surgery. In her comments, she said: “Four days ago, he called and said he had a really bad infection that had been treated.”
Moynes has come a long way since his days on the show. He had been a competitor on the 16th season of The Bachelorette, though he was ousted in the ninth week.
After that, he was back for the subsequent season and eventually got engaged to Katie Thurston. However, their relationship did not hold up and they called it quits just three months after the 17th season finale ended.
There were worries over the long distance nature of the relationship and concerns over where they would live. After all, Blake is from Canada, while Katie was from the US.
In a joint statement at the time of the split, Blake remarked: “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey.”
The fans on social media came out in droves in order to wish Blake well. And in the process of doing so, they hoped he would be able to get back to his usual self as soon as possible.
