You’d think that with Josh Duggar going to prison for what could be up to 40 years, we’ve heard the last of him until early next year when he’ll receive his sentence. It’s been revealed that on top of his prison service, there will be no conjugal visits for the former Counting On star.
‘Counting On’: It’s Going to be Lean Times for Josh Duggar Behind Bars
Convicted on two counts of possessing child pornography, Josh Duggar is looking at a sentence that could see him locked away for 40 years. During the trial, the prosecution brought damning evidence including explicit material gained from his computer as well as activity logs.
‘Counting On’: Looks Like There Will Be No Sex for Josh Duggar During Conjugal Visits
To counter this, Duggar’s legal team went with the classic “I was hacked” defense—which worked as expected. Since the 33-year-old will be in federal prison, he and his wife Anna won’t be able to link up in the trailer or shag shack during his sentence. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is pretty clear on this. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ site:
“In most cases, handshakes, hugs, and kisses (in good taste) are allowed at the beginning and end of a visit. Staff may limit contact for security reasons (to prevent people from trying to introduce contraband) and to keep the visiting area orderly. The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not permit conjugal visits”
It looks as though handshakes, kisses in good taste, and hugs—presumably also in good taste—will be the only physical contact the couple of 13 years will have for a while. Josh Duggar was convicted on December 9 and Judge Timothy Brooks is expected to be sentenced in early 2022.
