Over the past few years, Impact Wrestling has perhaps been the most consistent weekly wrestling program. Their matches tend to deliver, their storylines are fun, and the locker room is jam packed full of talent. Right now, Moose stands above all else however, after taking his rightful place as Impact Wrestling World Champion. Recently, Moose would explain why Impact Wrestling is a strong choice for wrestlers — and it’s the freedom it provides.
Impact Wrestling Gives Wrestlers The Freedom To Create
While speaking with Metro, Moose would share his thoughts on why Impact Wrestling is a viable option for wrestlers.
“I think that’s one of the reasons why a lot of guys choose to come to Impact over AEW or going to WWE – the freedom that you have to create. I’ve heard that in other companies, that’s not the case at all. You don’t really have freedom at all, it’s up to the writers to decide. If you pitch an idea and generally, if that idea’s good, Scott D’Amore’s obviously not gonna turn it down as long as it’s not gonna get you or the company cancelled.”
With a mass of releases from Ring of Honor and WWE, Impact Wrestling is expected to pick up some names to boost their roster. It’s been reported that Impact doesn’t pay as well as other promotions, but their taped nature and openness to allow talent to work on the indies makes it an easy place to gain some traction with fans.
Moose Is Set To Face Matt Cardona & W. Morrisey At Hard To Kill
Very soon, Moose will make his hardest defense yet as Impact Wrestling World Champion. He’s made three in his 62+ days as champion, taking out Eddie Edwards & Rich Swann in Impact – and Agony in CCW. Those were all one on one matches — while Hard to Kill brings two very game opponents.
Matt Cardona has both gotten blows in on Moose – showing he can stop the self proclaimed Wrestling God. Meanwhile, W. Morrisey has been helping to defend Moose, to ensure he is able to get his shot. Hard To Kill has a main event that will be hard to call, but who are you rooting for? Which talents would you want to see gain creative control in Impact Wrestling?
