Last year, we saw what we thought was the best version of YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto as a tag team in World Tag League, but they upped their game once again in 2021. This has led to them making the finals this year, and tonight they have a chance to redeem one of their few losses in the tournament, and get revenge for House of Torture taking the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships in one fell swoop. EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi are standing between them and Tokyo Dome, which is not a great position to find yourself in.
EVIL would start by fleeing the ring and grabbing the World Tag League trophies, allowing Yujiro Takahashi to hit from behind. YOSHI-HASHI would weather the two on one attack, getting aid from Goto before they’d go after Dick Togo on the outside. This wild goose chase would lead to YOSHI-HASHI being thrown into the timekeeper’s table, killing Abe-san.
NJPW WTL & BOSJ Finals Results: Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI Overcome EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi To Win World Tag League 2021 (12/15)
EVIL would take YOSHI-HASHI back into the ring, and Yujiro Takahashi would lay in chops and shove him into the exposed corner, likely the work of Togo. YOSHI-HASHI was choked with a shirt, before having his eyes gouged. Goto would get a tag, and nailed the rolling wheel kick into the corner before a bulldog.
He’d get tripped by Dick Togo, before being thrown into the barricade. A fisherman buster would set up the Darkness Scorpion, but Goto was able to make the ropes. Darkness Falls was all set up, but YOSHI-HASHI was able to make the save. Goto would try to go for the GTR, but Dick Togo would take him with the cord with a choke. EVIL would try to run in, before Goto would shove him into Togo and hit a big backdrop.
YOSHI-HASHI would isolate Yujiro in the corner for some big strikes before going for the neckbreaker. Yujiro would bite his way free twice, before the Angle Slam! Miami Shine would be next, spinning YOSHI-HASHI out. EVIL nailed Darkness Fall to take Goto out, and Pimp Juice would have to be countered.
YOSHI-HASHI was showing that babyface fire, but Yujiro would nail Pimp Juice – but only got two. The Pimp Cane came out, but Goto would catch him with Ushigorishi. Yujiro would block the GTW attempt, but it’d land the second time. However, they wanted one more move, and it would have been over after the second – but a limp Dick Togo came back and pulled the ref out.
Togo had the cord, EVIL the chair – but CHAOS has a Stone Pitbull. Ishii rushed the ring, now back in Japan – and took the fight to House of Torture. Dick Togo fell, Yujiro fell, and EVIL fell. The ref was thrown into the ring, and YOSHI-HASHI nailed a big lariat, with Goto nailed Violent Flash. One more GYW – and this one would be over – but Yujiro countered out! YOSHI-HASHI caught the low blow, and they nailed a new finisher to win World Tag League!
