Prince Harry’s upcoming tell-all memoir in 2022 could cause an unprecedented amount of damage to the Royal family and even damage Prince Charles’ claim to the British Throne.
Prince Harry’s Memoir Could Damage Prince Charles’ Claim To The British Throne
That is according to Royal expert Peter Hunt. It is no secret that Prince Harry was dissatisfied with the Royal family when he decided to leave in 2020.
Being unhappy is one thing, but when it leads to expressions of condemnation on a public platform as shown by his Oprah Winfrey interview, it is not surprising then that relations have been at an all-time low.
And if Prince Harry continues to be frank in the same manner, then there is no chance of a reconciliation. In an interview with LBC, Peter dismissed the prospects of Harry reuniting with the Royals.
He said: “I think there is no way it will [lead to reconciliation] because he promised for it [his memoir] to be a truthful account.”
The main member of the Royal family who could suffer the most damage from this is none other than Harry’s father Prince Charles. Recent reports had indicated that Prince Charles was the one who had expressed concerns about Megan Markle’s son Archie’s skin colour.
And with Charles next in line to the throne, coupled with the fact that Queen Elizabeth is not getting any younger as well as having health problems, this is the last thing that Charles will want as it could impact his claim to the throne by way of negative publicity.
Richard Kay, who happens to be an editor at the Daily Mail, had this to say: “We’re edging closer to the Prince of Wales becoming monarch and every time these embarrassing situations erupt with his son, it reminds people about why they have had problems with the prospect of Charles as King.”
As of now, this is all speculation as ultimately we will only know once Prince Harry’s memoir is out. And in the meantime, there is still plenty that could change.
There is always the possibility that Queen Elizabeth may not be here at the time of the memoir’s release. Not only that, but there is still time to bury the hatchet in light of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s possible US Royal tour next year.
