There is no chance that Queen Elizabeth will be spending Christmas alone even though Prince harry and Meghan Markle won’t be showing up to visit the aging monarch.
Royal Expert ‘Cannot Believe The Family Will Allow’ Queen Elizabeth II To Be Alone For Christmas
That is according to Royal expert Katie Nicholl. This Christmas is going to be like no other for Queen Elizabeth, especially since it is going to be her first one without her late husband Prince Philip.
Not only that, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will also not be attending which just goes on to show how much division there is within the Royal family, as they cannot come together at a time of such happiness.
This begs the question, who will be attending? As of now, it is clear that Kate Middleton will be sacrificing her time with her family in order to ensure that the Queen is fine.
In addition, there is also the prospect that Sarah Ferguson will be in attendance. With so many things to contend with, Katie believes that Queen Elizabeth will need her family around her.
In an interview with The Royal Beat, she said: “The idea the Queen will be on her own for Christmas without Philip, I simply cannot believe the family will allow to happen, I don’t think it will happen.”
Nevertheless, one person who looked like they would not be attending was Prince Andrew. This would be understandable in light of what is happening in his personal life.
He is currently facing a sexual abuse scandal that is set to go ahead for a hearing in the New Year. Naturally, the Royal family could be forgiven if they wanted to distance themselves from Andrew in order to avoid the additional media scrutiny.
However, reports claim that the Queen Elizabeth and Prince Andrew have had a heart-to-heart with the former believing that her son is absolutely innocent.
Katie added: “My understanding is she has had quite full and frank conversations with Andrew. He has assured her he is innocent and she has put her faith in him.”
With Christmas firmly around the corner, the Royal family will be hoping that 2022 is much better than the current year. Time will tell how the New Year will play out for the Royal family.
