Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have only been able to secure lucrative deals following their exit from the Royal Family in 2020 by virtue of their Royal connections.

That is according to Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti. Such a statement is a profound one and has a lot of implications for the following reasons.
First of all, Meghan and Harry wanted to garner some independence which was the reason why they left the Royal family. As such, this claim would fly in the face of that and ultimately be a contradiction.
Secondly, it goes against Harry’s previous comments in which he stated that he wanted to earn a wage that was akin to a working man in order to be more relatable to the public. Therefore, his reported 100 million deal with Netflix does run contrary to that.
In an interview with the Express, Jonathan said: “I have the suspicion much of [Harry’s] new ‘work’ is not quite like the work you or I do to earn a living.
“He and his wife have collected titles and lucrative contracts on the back of their connections to the Royal family.”
This is of course only speculation, as ultimately only the couple know how they managed to secure such deals. But in any event, it is too simple to state that they secured these contracts due to Royal connections.
This is because it would still tie the couple down to the Royal family which is not what they wanted. In addition, if these claims were taken to be true, then there is a high chance that this could have been leaked to the press.
After all, previous allegations have been leaked such as claims of Meghan’s bullying during her time in Royal family. And yet, Jonathan continued to double down on his beliefs.
He added: “It’s unlikely anyone would be giving them these bespoke positions and contracts in massive wealthy corporations were they not connected to the British Royal Family and thus guaranteed to attract publicity.
“For most people, there’s a bit more to work than that.” If Harry and Meghan are able to sustain themselves outside of the Royal family, then that is all that they will care about.
