Royal Expert Claims Prince William And Kate Middleton Will Buy Prince Harry’s Kids Christmas Presents Amid The Tension
That is according to the Royal expert Katie Nicholl. William and Harry, as well as their respective partners, have been at loggerheads ever since the airing of the controversial interview on Oprah Winfrey.
Things had not been helped by the uneasy atmosphere created when Harry attended the late Prince Philip’s funeral. And given that things have not been patched up since then, this is seen as the latest attempt to reach out to one another.
During an interview with OK magazine, Katie said: “Yes, of course [they will send presents]. They give gifts to the whole family, and that includes all of their nieces and nephews.”
This move could be significant for the following reasons. First of all, Harry and Meghan will reportedly not be spending Christmas in the UK.
This was not for want of trying, but rather, the hostile nature of the press was something that the couple were looking to avoid. Therefore, this gesture would show that there is still some desire to rekindle things within the Royal Family.
A source told Page Six the following: “Staff know that Harry and Meghan are not coming. If they were, they would have communicated it to their family by now.
Secondly, given that William and Kate are reportedly set to attend the United States next year as part of the Earth Shot initiative, there is a feeling that this could serve as a precursor towards any potential meeting within the US.
Their attendance will be designed to honour those who have taken steps to ensure that the environment is protected, something which Harry also has a strong passion about.
With Christmas firmly around the corner, 2022 surely cannot get any worse for the Royal family, putting into context everything that has happened in 2021.
And with the New Year also on the horizon, this could be the perfect opportunity to start 2022 with a bang. We will have to see how this will all play out.
