Sarah Ferguson Claims Princess Diana Would Have Been ‘Proud’ Of Prince Harry And Meghan Markle
That is according to none other than Sarah Ferguson herself. It is no secret that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, much like his mother, Princess Diana, became disillusioned with the Royal family.
And yet, there has always been speculation over whether Princess Diana would have approved at the manner in which Prince Harry left the Royal family. After all, in doing so, he has burnt bridges with his father Prince Charles, as well as his brother Prince William.
That is clearly not something that Princess Diana would have most likely been fond of. But for Sarah Ferguson, she felt that it is ultimately a question of doing what is right for you.
That is how Sarah felt that Diana would have perceived it. In an interview with ‘Porta a Porta,’ magazine she said: “The most important thing – and I know Diana, if she were here, would say that – is they are happy.
“And she [Meghan] makes him happy. And I love to see that little boy that cried [During Diana’s funeral] to have happiness now.”
It is true to say that Sarah and Diana were quite close. Diana happened to be the person that had introduced Sarah to her former husband, Prince Andrew.
Although they would go on to split, Sarah still has an affection for him, as shown by her desire to back Prince Andrew until the end during his recent sexual assault lawsuit that was filed by Virginia Giuffre.
This is why she knew that Diana would have been happy with Harry, given that she was fond of family and children. And with Harry, he has gone on to have two kids who Sarah believes Diana would have loved as her own.
Sarah Ferguson added: “And she would be just like me, obsessed with her grandchildren. Because that’s what she loved. If she were sitting with me right now, I know she would say, ‘I am so proud.”
This is only speculation, as Princess Diana is not sadly here anymore. But after everything that Prince Harry and Meghan Meghan have been through, if they are happy, then that is the most important thing regardless of what others may think.
