Ever since soaring from the top of the WarGames cage, Grayson Waller has treated himself as a star. He took it upon himself to take out Johnny Gargano after he wasted fans’ time with a big goodbye speech.
Doing so got him booted from the NXT 2.0 locker room – but stars like Waller deserve private dressing spaces. The Grayson Waller effect is so big that even AJ Styles showed up in NXT to confront Waller, and Waller made his way to RAW in response. What will come next for Waller?
Odyssey Jones Failed To Shut Grayson Waller Up
Hitting the ring dressed to compete, he’d grab a microphone instead. He’d barely be able to talk over the chants of you suck, but he got himself tickets to Monday Night RAW for Christmas.
Getting called out by Styles on the show was just a sign that he was trying to steal the attention of Waller. He threatened Waller, invaded his show, and more just has the worst music. However, enough about that has-been Styles.
His match with Dexter Lumis was delayed due to injury, but Odyssey Jones stepped up for a match. Waller would try to flee, but Jones called him out for it and it worked. Jones would force Waller into a corner for a body press before a choke toss across the ring.
Waller got a punch to the jaw, but Jones caught him during a drop down attempt with a stomp to the back. A big sidewalk slam would get a two count, before Waller would catch Jones with a hotshot over the ropes. Some big strikes put Jones on the ropes, and then to the mat.
Waller was keeping the pressure on, but couldn’t keep the big man down forever. He’d hit a Gargano style superkick before a diving elbow drop – but Jones kicked out at two. Jones caught a kick and threw him aside, before a major backbreaker.
Waller regained control for some punches in the corner before being taken down with a powerbomb. The turnbuckle would be uncovered, and Jones was run into it before the rolling Stunner got the win.
Imperium vs. MSK & Riddle Set For Next Week, WALTER & Riddle To Return To NXT
MSK have gone on a long journey to find themselves, and Matt Riddle was at the end of that journey. Tonight, they will finally step up and issue a challenge to Imperium, and take their championship rematch next week. However, while they have been gone, the tag team division has bloomed – so will they be able to stake their claim without dispute?
Last time they were here was Halloween Havoc, where Imperium crushed them. However, they’re ready for their rematch – and with their ‘Higher’ Power of Riddle backing them up, they’re not going to lose. Imperium hit the ramp and spoke in their native tongues, while MSK needed subtitles. They accept the challenge, because they will be able to touch them.
WALTER would appear on the screen and say that MSK doesn’t deserve a title match – as they have no respect. Riddle would chime back in, and called out WALTER for a six man match next week.
