Devon Nicholson is known by Hannibal on his Youtube channel where he has some great shoot videos with King Kong Bundy and others, and as the Bloodhunter and Hannibal in the wrestling ring.
One of his claims to fame is successfully sueing Abdullah the Butcher after contracting Hepatitis C after Abdullah cut him without his permission during a match in 2009.
Nicholson had been offered an entry level contract with the WWE, but after they discovered he had Hepatitis C they pulled the offer and after a three year legal battle, he was awarded $2.3 million from Abdullah the Butcher.
And now he’s added another chapter by attacking a ref and repeatedly stabbing him with a spike.

Not planned
It happened in Irving, Texas on December 11 during World Class Revolution’s Christmas Star Wars event’s main event that featured Carlito and Devon Nicholson (using a masked gimmick Bloodhunter for this match).
It appears there was supposed to be an attack on referee Lando Deltoro, but Nicholson took it too far.
According to reports, Colby Cowperthwaite said Nicholson was intoxicated for his match and he informed Carlito. Carlito ended the match quickly and safely, but the planned aftermath is where things went sideways.

Cowperthwaite went on to tell Fightful (special thanks to comicbook.com for the transcript):
“They planned a blade spot but Hannibal took it MUCH further,” wrestler Clayton Bloodstone told Fightful on the record. “I guess the ref’s blade wasn’t working and Hannibal began stabbing him in the head multiple times. The ref went immediately to the hospital. We all thought he was going to die. Many of the guys in the back were very visibly shaken up from it. Hannibal gave zero fucks. He acted like it wasn’t a big deal. He was in his RV pretty much the whole time before his match. The ref that reffed his match believed he was intoxicated and warned Carlito, who was working Hannibal, to be careful and end the match ASAP.”
As of this writing, no charges have been levied against Nicholson, but many have called for him to be banned from wrestling events in the future.
The referee, Lando Deltoro, posted an update on his condition (shared above) and a GoFundMe has been set up to help cover any medical expenses from this attack.
