Current ‘Bachelor’ lead Clayton Echard has hit back at his critics after a series of TikTok videos emerged questioning his prior relationships.

It is no secret that Clayton has had a hard time dealing with the social media furore that has emerged in response to his appearance on the show.
He publicly admitted that he struggled to deal with the perceptions generated of him on social media, as demonstrated by the fact that he did become a victim of reading the comments posted about him.
But rather than justify his previous conduct, Clayton wanted to set the record straight and inform people that he is not going to portray himself as somebody different than he actually is.
During an interview on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Clayton said: “I never claimed to be some saint, per se, or celibate for the last six years of my single life.
“Like, I was single and I enjoyed that singleness. There was a period of my life where, yeah, I wasn’t looking for anything serious, and I was just having fun.”
These videos have ultimately gone on to question whether Clayton is being serious about a potential relationship on the show. This claim was exacerbated when a TikTok had emerged claiming that a man had walked in to see his girlfriend hooking up with Clayton.
Although it is true to say that anybody can make a mistake on a given day, this is the last thing that the women connected to Clayton will want to hear when considering if they think he is an adequate partner.
But for Clayton, these things are all in the past. He added: “I think we all went through this [phase] — and maybe some people more than others…and I realized, like, ‘You need to start making changes to see change.”
The star will be hoping that the stories do not cloud his time on the show. After all, he could do with all the positive press that he can get especially since he will want to counter the negative stories that have been coming his way.
