Last night at the 2022 Royal Rumble – Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE. In the process, she was able to win the Royal Rumble, and now has a choice to make leading into Wrestlemania. There are three possible champions to choose from, with Rousey getting the pick between Mandy Rose, Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch. Current reports indicate that Flair will be the choice of Rousey, but that hasn’t stopped Lynch for commenting on the return of Rousey.
Going One On One With Big Time Becks Would Be The Biggest Match Of Rousey’s Career
While speaking to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Lynch had the following to say about Rousey – and if she will be the choice of the rumble winner.
“I’ve already beaten her. Sure, of course, that’s the match people want and have wanted for nearly four years now and that would get them excited and get me excited, but now it’s in her court. If she wants it, I’m ready to go. If she doesn’t, she can warm up with gazpacho and I’ll give somebody else a shot and make somebody else big time because that’s what I do.”
She’d even go on to say that facing Ronda one on one wouldn’t be the biggest match of her career – but absolutely the biggest of Rondas career.
“It would be the biggest in her career. Going against Big Time Becks. She’s gone against The Man, Big Time Becks is in a different league. Biggest match of her career.”
Becky Lynch Has Unfinished Business With Bianca Belair
Right now however, we’re more likely to see a rematch from Summerslam 2022 for Lynch at Wrestlemania. Bianca Belair has been wanting revenge on Lynch since she was beaten in under a minute when Lynch made her return. With Rousey likely to go after Flair – Lynch will need a feud that can bring a big match.
Belair has really cooled off since losing her gold, but proved in 2021 that she can easily rise to the occasion and pull off a huge match for Wrestlemania. Right now, it’s planned that Lynch vs. Rousey will happen in 2023 – which will be the final match of Rousey in WWE as well.
