Doudrop has had a hard time since leaving NXT UK. The name alone is hard to move past, but she’s got her biggest chance yet tonight. Becky Lynch is the RAW Women’s Champion, but has never faced someone like Doudrop during any of her reigns. Doudrop has the spotlight tonight, and will not take this chance lightly – as winning tonight puts her on her own path to Wrestlemania. With Ronda Rousey now having a ticket to Wrestlemania, the winner of this match could be a target.
Doudrop Has The Power Edge
Lynch would be outpowered by Doudrop on the opening lockup – being easily sent to the floor. A headlock would not help much – as Doudrop threw her off with ease. Lynch went to the floor, before catching Doudrop with a kick to the head on the apron. She’d go up top, but was taken down the hard way with a toss.
Lynch dodged a running body press, but took a headbutt to the face. She’d try to pull Doudrop outside, but was kicked into the barricade. Back in the ring, Doudrop absorbed a forearm and hit a shoulder tackle, before a running senton to the back. The cannonball attempt on the outside was dodged, and Doudrop just met the steel of the steps.
Finally having an opening, Lynch would apply a rear-chinlock before moving into a sleeper hold. Some tearing at the face would add insult to injury, but Doudrop broke free. Lynch would dodge a spear into the corner and hit a dropkick, but only got a one count before being thrown off. Lynch would talk down to Doudrop and got the taste slapped out of her mouth, before a heavy chop and scoop slam.
Becky Lynch Remains RAW Women’s Champion
The running senton splash got a two count, before Lynch would apply the Dis-arm-her. Doudrop would fight free before being turned over into a cross-armbreaker. Lynch failed to get the submission, and was powered up into a powerbomb for a two count.
The Vader Bomb in the corner was blocked with double knees, before Lynch would hit the Molly Go-Round for a two count. Lynch would pepper Doudrop with shots in the ropes, before missing the leg drop and taking some headbutts. Lynch would better set up the leg drop on the second attempt, getting a two count.
Man-Handle Slam would be blocked into the Big Ending – but Becky Lynch was able to kick out. Doudrop would go to the top rope, but was caught with a super Manhandle Slam for the win.
