Cardi, for her part, had managed to obtain $1.25 million in damages after an Atlanta court had found that celebrity blogger Latasha Kebe (Tasha K) had falsely claimed that the rapper had gotten herpes, as well as engaging in cocaine usage and prostitution.
As a result, Cardi’s team claimed that all of this caused her to suffer from a lot of psychological distress. And with this incident now fully behind her, Cardi wanted to have a word with the Duchess.

This is particularly true in light of the statement that Meghan had given following her victory. In a statement at the time, Meghan remarked: “This is a victory not just for me, but for anyone who has ever felt scared to stand up for what’s right.
“While this win is precedent setting, what matters most is that we are now collectively brave enough to reshape a tabloid industry.”
Meghan and Cardi’s victories have shown that the balance of power has shifted towards those who are being subjected to unfounded media scrutiny.
