This past weekend, Impact Wrestling had their TV tapings in Dallas, Texas and there have been plenty of spoilers reported on what happened there including ROH’s new faction called Honor No More.
Another surprise was the Impact Wrestling debut of former WWE Superstar Charlie Haas as he challenged Josh Alexander to a match, and then attacked him when Josh refused.
Knocked loopy
After Josh accepted Haas’ challenge, their match was interrupted by ROH’s new faction that’s invaded Impact Wrestling and during the brawl Haas was knocked loopy, according to PWInsider.
Haas was taken to the back on a stretcher and was up and moving around later on and reports say he’s going to be okay.
Fans reportedly believed his injury was a work, and understandably so given what we see happen all the time. It can be tough to separate the two sometimes, but Tommy Dreamer told the fans in attendance that the injury was real.
We’re glad to hear that as no one wants to see someone get hurt, and they put their bodies on the line every time they step into the ring to entertain us.
Adding new talent
Haas is best known as a former member of Team Angle and a former two time tag team champion with his partner Shelton Benjamin.
He’s had a good career as he’s wrestled on the Indie circuit for various companies before his semi-retirement in 2014.
He adds a solid performer with years of experience that’ll lead to good matches and he could have a career rebirth of sorts.
ROH is on a different path as they’re on hiatus until April and there are plenty of rumors Ring of Honor is selling and there’s plenty of evidence to support those rumors.
Until they either return sell, or close down, it’s great to see them working with Impact Wrestling as it ensures the new stable will get TV time and it helps keep ROH alive.
It’s similar to AEW working with Impact last year in that it helped get more eyes on Impact and now they’re paying it forward.
We’re looking forward to where this invasion angle is going as well as seeing some old favorites back in action. This is going to be a fun ride.
