Reports indicate that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity ‘Archwell Foundation’ had ended up raising less money than their legal fees in 2020.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Charity Raised Less Than $50,000 In 2020-Where Did The Funds Go?
According to reports, the charity raised less than $50,000. That is hardly a huge sum of money for a couple that have managed to secure lucrative deals such as the reported 100 million dollar deal with Netflix, as well as a collaboration with Spotify.
And yet, it is important to put this into some much-needed context. First of all, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had just left the Royal family. Therefore, they were no longer entitled to the riches that came by being in such an institution.
As such, they were focused on making sure that they could set up a life of independence that would ultimately allow them to be free from the clutches of the Royals.
Secondly, given that Meghan Markle had fought a legal case as shown by her recent victory against the ‘Mail on Sunday’ for breach of her privacy rights, it is not surprising to hear that the legal fees were not exactly cheap.
And yet, criticism continued to emerge after claims were made that the couple had been engaged in wrongdoing.
The primary bone of contention was due to the fact that they had apparently transferred funds from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Royal Foundation to their own charity.
Thus there was a feeling that there could have been a conflict of interest, as charitable funds were being mixed up between two different organisations. However, the couple were declared innocent of any wrongdoing.
In an official statement given to Vanity Fair, a representative for the Royal Foundation stated the following: “They were fully in line with governance requirements and were reported transparently.”
With a lot more lucrative deals in the pipeline, as demonstrated by Prince Harry’s memoir which is set to be released in 2022, it is safe to say that their charitable funds are going to be a whole lot bigger this time around.
And if they manage to redirect that to some good causes, then that is only going to help their PR image in the future. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

Doofus and Dickweed.
I’m rooting for the sucksexes. Really. I’m hoping they open up and fund a foundation that teaches failed narcissists, self sustaining skills like shopping for milk and bread and reducing your P.R. Budgets by two or three million so you can afford to by diapers without a grant.
