An American toddler by the name Jalayne Sutherland received the surprise of her life, after she was sent a personal letter by the monarchy after dressing up like Queen Elizabeth.
This was in response to the one-year-old who had decided to dress up as Queen Elizabeth during a fancy dress event. In the picture here, we can see that Jalayne is wearing a blue overcoat with a matching hat.
Toddler Praised For Dressing Like Queen Elizabeth II
This was accompanied by some pearls, as well as the white wig. Jalayne is posing near her dog at the family home. And after having conducted the picture, the family decided to send it to Buckingham Palace. Thinking nothing of it, they were surprised to hear that they had received a response.
Katelyn Sutherland, who happens to be the mother of Jalayne, had this to say: “We are most definitely fans of the Royal family and truly admire how the Queen walks by faith.”
“While walking around on Halloween we received many, many compliments but my favourite reactions were when people bowed to her or did the royal wave and said Your Majesty”
This begs the question, how did the Royal family take it? Well, they were delighted that someone had taken so much effort to get Queen Elizabeth’s personality across. And given that it was done in a manner that was befitting of royalty, the response was understandably very positive indeed.
In response, the letter had stated the following: “The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for your letter, and for the photograph you thoughtfully enclosed.
“Her Majesty hopes you all have a very Merry Christmas, and I am enclosing a little information about the Royal Pets, which Jalayne might like to have.”
The response on social media was full of praise. A large majority of people praised the child for the effort and dedication she had taken to making this picture. And understandably, the image was shared across many platforms on social media.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Actually cannot deal with how cute this is! X,” while another person stated: “That photo is awesome. I can’t stop laughing brilliant.”
