Toni Storm was a superstar many of us couldn’t wait to see in action, but her run on WWE’s main brands was lukewarm at best.
Since her release, there have been plenty of reports detailing why she requested her release and what’s next for her and so on.
They’re the usual things we often wonder about when a favorite of ours leaves, but we were interested in one of her comments about what it was like in the WWE and what her goals are.
Moving forward
Not surprisingly, her story of life in the WWE is nearly identical to many that have come and gone from the company.
She worked her way up from NXT UK to NXT and then Smackdown following some dark matches, and while she had a newfound respect for the work the main brand superstars put in, she had enough.

“WWE has been very high demanding. I missed my cousin’s wedding, Christmases, my nephew’s circumcision, and my father’s intervention. I’ve come to realize my dream of a WWE Star is nothing more than sacrificing my time just to put over some b—- that really feels we must bow down to her not just in the ring, but off camera. Perhaps I should go somewhere else where I can make an Impact!”
Burying Charlotte?
We’re all for her wanting to make an impact and like many that gets us thinking she’ll go to Impact Wrestling with Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee, but that’s just a guess.
What’s also interesting is it appears she may have tried to bury Charlotte Flair. Her comments play into the speculation about Becky Lynch standing up to Flair a few weeks back.
This is pure speculation on our part, but we’re curious if it’s frustration or Flair protecting her character to the detriment of others?
Whatever the reason, Flair could be going old school and it’s rubbing the new school the wrong way. Or could Toni be talking about Sasha Banks?
Considering it’s been reported that Toni worked a triple threat at a live show with Banks and Flair before she reportedly walked out of the company and flew home does raise the question.
But there isn’t a lot of evidence to support Banks having that kind of attitude, and given Toni recently had a feud with Flair gives credence to that speculation.
Whatever Toni decides to do and go we wish her all the best. We can’t wait to see her tapping into all of her potential.
