Following one of the worst Royal Rumbles in history, and arguably one of the worst pay-per-views ever, Ronda Rousey’s return will reportedly spark a feud with Charlotte Flair instead of Becky Lynch.
This won’t sit well with fans if these reports are true, but it makes sense given it was reported before the Royal Rumble that Ronda will be on the Smackdown brand but appear here and there on Raw.
Since she won the Rumble, it looks like Ronda will do what is done every year, and that is she’ll appear on both brands until she makes her decision in a week or two.
Sticking to the plan
Of course, this all depends on if the WWE will go this route. If history is any indicator, we think they’ll stick to Charlotte and Ronda having a feud so they can continue pushing Bianca Belair to face Lynch at WrestleMania.

Or they could make this another triple threat like WrestleMania 35, or even a fatal four way. The latter seems to be the WWE’s current favorite as they’ve done those relentlessly for the last few months on their weekly shows and events.
This would also, once again, ignore the will of the fans and give us a match few want.
While Charlotte is arguably the best woman on their roster, the fact she’s won so many titles in such a short time has turned fans off or her. The same was said before Becky was pregnant and vacated the title.
It’s not their fault, but the WWE’s for not building up their women’s roster.
The match we should’ve gotten
There’s a prevailing belief among fans online that WrestleMania 35 should’ve been between Ronda and Becky without Charlotte involved.
Instead, they gave us a good match but it fell flat in many fans’ eyes and now it appears we’re heading down a the same road again.
The fans want Becky versus Ronda. The fans deserve Becky versus Ronda.
The buildup for the match would be so simple with clips of Ronda not really being pinned along with some sound bites and there’s instead heat.
Fans have been begging for this match since Ronda left to grow her family, and now it’s so close.
In the end, Vince McMahon will do what he thinks is best and we’ll have to accept that. At least Ronda’s back so that gives us hope to see her and Becky go head to head at least once, though it’ll most likely end in no contest when someone interferes or Becky gets disqualified.
