Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re set for what looks liek a fun night with Naomi getting a rematch against Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Kofi Kingston facing Madcap Moss, and the Bloodline celebrating Roman Reigns‘ record title reign.
We’ll be back and ready to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at the 8 p.m. EST showtime.
Segment 1
The Usos started off the celebration of Roman Reigns’ record setting 508 days as Universal Champion.
Seth Rollins came out to spoil the party, and he challenged the Usos to a match and if he and Kevin Owens win the Usos are banned from ringside at the Rumble.
Reigns countered that the Usos win then Rollins loses his Rumble match and he’s on vacation until WrestleMania. Rollins accepted.
Segment 2
Kofi Kingston w/Big E vs. Madcap Moss w/Happy Corbin
Kofi started off hot, and when he was thrown to the floor he hit Moss with a clothesline off the ring steps and Big E threw Corbin into the same ring steps as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This ended pretty quickly after the break as Kofi hit a kick off the ropes for the pin, and Big E then backed Corbin out of the ring and hit a Big Ending on Moss for reasons.
Segment 4
Natalya went after Aliyah, but wouldn’t stop stomping away in the corner and was disqualified, giving Aliyah the win. When Natalya kept attacking her, Xia Li came out and sent Natalya to the floor with a single kick.
Segment 5
Los Lotharios (Angel, Humberto) vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik, Ivar)
This was a quick but good one that Angel and Humberto came close to winning, but The Viking Raiders overpowered them and hit the Viking Experience for the win.
Segment 6
Championship Contender’s Match – Charlotte Flair vs. Naomi
Sonya Deville swapped out with Charles Robinson to be the ref, and as anyone could guess, she slanted it to Flair when she called for the bell when Flair locking in a figure 4 when Naomi didn’t tap out.
Can this storyline move somewhere, please?
Segment 7
Johnny Knoxville interrupted Sami Zayn‘s In-Zayn segment and turned the zapper Zayn was pretending to use on and used it on Zayn before throwing him over the top rope.
Segment 8
Sheamus w/Ridge Holland vs. Ricochet
This was one-sided as Sheamus dominated and countered Ricochet’s best moves before hitting a Brogue Kick for the win.
Segment 9
Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens vs. The Usos (Jey and Jimmy)
The action is fast and furious in this one as they brought the energy, and after a few back and forths, Jey hit a superkick on Owens on the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
This was an awesome match that went back and forth and Rollins had the win in sight as he Stomped Jimmy, but Reigns came in and leveled Rollins with a Superman Punch.
Rollins and Owens still won by disqualification as Reigns’ message backfired and the Usos are banned from ringside at the Royal Rumble.
What’s more, the fans kept chanting Rollins’ music throughout the match, treating him like a face. We just hope the WWE lets him keep his edge this time.
