Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!

Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one as the Bloodline celebrates Roman Reigns’ record setting title reign and we expect Seth Rollins to have something to say about that.

    Let’s get to the action!

The Usos started the night off by already being in the ring and touted Roman Reigns’ 508 days as Universal Champion to top the list.

They made sure to mention how Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar weren’t able to hold it as long. They neglected to mention how Reigns had tons of help, but they are heels, so it’s expected.

They then introduced Reigns and he came out and took a moment to look at his belt before holding it high.

Reigns held his hand out and Jimmy was asleep at the switch and it took him a little longer to give Reigns the mic so he could demand Nashville acknowledge him.

A pretty cool video package of his highlights followed. As always, the WWE did an awesome job on it.

After the video, Seth Rollins came out before Reigns could say anything more and offered his congratulations, and that we should celebrate his title reign will come to an end shortly.

Rollins called him out for sending the Usos to attack him, then congratulated them on being the longest reigning Smackdown tag team and called them the corner stone of Reigns’ run.

Rollins then offered to find a partner and face the Usos, and if he wins they’re barred from ringside at the Royal Rumble.

Reigns hesitated and Jey accepted the challenge and earned himself a look from Reigns.

Rollins agreed not too many people like him, and Kevin Owens came out. Reigns then raised the stakes and if Rollins loses tonight he loses his match at the Rumble and Reigns will be on vacation until WrestleMania.

Rollins accepted and he and Owens looked a little too pleased.

Kofi Kingston w/Big E vs. Madcap Moss w/Happy Corbin

Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss were in the ring cracking jokes when Kofi Kingston came out for their match.

Kofi took it to Moss and hit a combination of moves for the upper hand, but Corbin distracted him and Moss hit Kofi from behind.

Moss threw Kofi to the floor, and Kofi caught him with a clothesline off the ring steps and Big E threw Corbin into the steps as we headed to commercial.

Moss caught Kofi with a spinebuster, and then jawed at Big E before stomping away on Kofi.

Kofi fought back with a pair of axhandle blows and a dropkick, and then a hurricanrana for a pin attempt.

Kofi fought out of a Razor’s Edge and hit a kick off the ropes for the win.

Big E backed Corbin out of the ring, and Big E hit a Big Ending on Moss to send a message to Corbin.

    Aliyah vs. Natalya

Natalya went on the attack early and Aliyah went for a roll up but it didn’t work, so Natalya kept on the pressure.

Aliyah turned the table with a hurricanrana off the top rope, but then ran into a discus clothesline, and the went for a backbreaker Aliyah countered into another roll up attempt.

Natalya refused to stop stomping away on Aliyah in the corner, so the ref disqualified her. After the result was announced, Natalya lost it and hammered away on Aliyah.

Xia Li came out to defend Aliyah, and she drove Natalya out of the ring with a single kick.

Los Lotharios (Angel, Humberto) vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik, Ivar)

Erick and Humberto started it off, then Erick tagged in and dropped Humberto and bodyslamed Ivar onto him.

    — WWE (@WWE) January 22, 2022

Angel tagged in and held Erick in the ropes for them to hit a pair of double teams for a pin attempt.

Ivar tagged in and took on both members, but Angel caught him in the corner with a powerbomb for a pin attempt.

The Viking Raiders quickly overpowered them and hit a Viking Experience for the win.

These last couple of matches felt like more filler than not to WWE Smackdown Results, but this one was pretty good.
