Prince Harry’s desire to raise awareness about HIV, just like his late mother Princess Diana had done so, has been called into question by a body language expert.
Royal Expert Implies That Prince Harry’s Support For Helping To End HIV Just Like His Mother Is Disingenuous-‘Does He Really Believe This’
Prince Harry, for his part, had recently been having a video call with former rugby player Gareth Thomas, as part of the wider National HIV Testing Week. And given that Gareth had also suffered from HIV in 2020, this was ultimately a very serious issue.
In the process of tackling this problem, the pair hoped that HIV could be eliminated by 2030. In the video call, Prince Harry is reported to have said the following comments: “I could never fill her shoes, especially in this particular space.
“But because of what she did and what she stood for and how vocal she was about this issue… it’s a converging of all these different pieces.”
While it is true to say that Harry has always been close to Princess Diana, not everybody was convinced by his motivations behind this cause.
Body language expert Judi James was of the view that Harry was simply trying to get closer to his family by continuing the work that his mother had done. In this way, it could bridge the gap between him and the wider Royal family in light of the poor relations of late.
In an interview with the Express, Judi said: “[It] might suggest he feels himself to be even further distanced from his family in the UK and continuing his own royal line in the US.
“His [Harry] claim that ‘I’m a typical guy’ sounds hilariously disingenuous. Does he really believe this or does he just want us to believe it?”
Ultimately, only Prince Harry knows the reason why he has decided to get behind this cause. And outside of an alternative explanation to the contrary, there is no reason to not give him the benefit of the doubt.
After all, he has demonstrated his recent commitment to giving back to the community as shown by his role as a Chief Impact Officer for the company ‘BetterUp,’ where he has been speaking about mental health.
