Tomohiro Ishii lost the NEVER Openweight Championship to EVIL at Wrestle Kingdom 16 – with a lot of House of Torture inteference helping EVIL along. Tonight however, we have a more even playing field as it’s a Lumberjack match. Ishii doesn’t like to ask for help, but tonight he’ll have plenty at ringside as he looks to regain the gold.
CHAOS Tries To Cancel Out House Of Torture
CHAOS would come to ringside to support Ishii, while House of Torture were here to support EVIL. The six men at ringside are allowed to get involved as they please on the outside, but can’t legally get into the ring. EVIL would strike first, but was unable to take Ishii off his feet. The shoulder tackle from Ishii dropped EVIL, who tried to flee the ring but CHAOS stopped him.
Instead, EVIL fled out the otherside of the ring and got a moment to breath. EVIL tried to send Ishii to the floor, but instead took a suplex. CHAOS quickly got EVIL back in the ring when he tried to flee, allowing Ishii to lay in some knife edge chops. Dick Togo had removed a corner pad, and EVIL chucked Ishii right into it. He’d roll to the outside, and House of Torture stomped him.
CHAOS brawled with House of Torture, and EVIL wrapped a chair around the neck to Ishii before hitting a home run. EVIL would get a two count in the ring, before using the exposed corner again. House of Torture drug Ishii to the outside and hit a hotshot onto the apron, while CHAOS just argued with the referee instead of making the save.
Back in the ring, EVIL applied a single leg crab to Ishii – before sending him out to the floor. Ishii was fired up at this point, and dropped House of Torture one by one, before going after EVIL in the ring. Yujiro got into the ring, but his kick was redirected to the face of EVIL, and Ishii nailed a backdrop driver. On the outside, CHAOS beat down EVIL and tossed him to Ishii in the ring.
EVIL Wins In His Most Honest Fashion In Years As He Drops Tomohiro Ishii
Ishii would rain chop after chop to the chest of EVIL, before trying to use the exposed steel. EVIL countered, but Ishii bounced off the steel and came back with a hard shoulder tackle. Ishii would try for a superplex, but House of Torture grabbed his ankles. Yujiro sent him down with a powerbomb, and EVIL would hit Magic Killer alongside Dick Togo while the useless referee was arguing with Yujiro.
Ishii managed to kick out at two, and EVIL set up a superplex for a two count. EVIL would try to use the referee to stop a German Suplex, but got a stiff shot to the face – showing that this referee does have a pair. Ishii completed the German Suplex, before the stalling superplex. EVIL would manage to kick out at two, showing his toughness.
House of Torture would rush the ring and drop the referee after spearing Ishii. CHAOS entered to cancel them out, but Dick Togo would remain and choke Ishii out. EVIL wanted to use the belt, but YOH took him out before nailing SHO with Direct Drive. Togo hit the Pedigree, but Goto & YOSHI-HASHI took him out – before Yujiro hit big Juice. Finally, YOSHI-HASHI hit Karma and EVIL hit him with the belt.
EVIL would go for Ishii with the belt, but Ishii nailed a lariat to send it into his face instead. A German Suplex would follow, and the Sliding Lariat got a two count. Vertical Drop Brainbuster was signalled, but EVIL countered into a set of Half & Half Suplexes. Darkness Falls was countered before EVIL nailed a massive lariat.
The STO was blocked, and Ishii met EVIL with a series of hard lariats before an enziguri from Ishii. Vertical Drop Brainbuster was countered, and EVIL quickly moved into the STO for the victory.
