Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been blasted on Tucker Carlson’s US talk show after being criticized for their response to the Spotify scandal involving Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan had been accused of spreading misinformation about Covid-19, which resulted in several high-profile musicians such as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell demanding that Spotify remove their music unless they got rid of Rogan’s podcast.
And given that Harry and Meghan have also signed a deal on Spotify, there was pressure on the couple to do the same. However, the duo had instead decided to put out a statement stating that they were working closer with Spotify to prevent cases of misinformation.
But that middle-of-the-road stance has not gone down too well. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson did not hold back on his criticism.
He said: “That annoying fake duchess from LA and her brain-dead husband threatened to walk unless Spotify muzzled Joe Rogan. But they’re not going anywhere.”
In reality, the chances of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving are very slim for the following reasons. First of all, they are no longer able to depend on Royal family money having exited in 2020.
Therefore, it is natural for them to want alternative sources of income which would allow them to be financially independent.
Secondly, given that they have not put out a lot of content but have still been recompensed nonetheless, they managed to secure a very good deal.
Tucker added: “These two grifters have a $25million deal with Spotify for essentially no work. So far, we believe they have produced just over 30 minutes of content.
“That means these two have been paid about a million dollars for each minute of talking they’ve done. That’s a good gig. It’s too good to leave.”
In Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s defence, it could also be claimed that any high-profile person should be boycotting Spotify if they really cared about tackling Joe Rogan’s views so why should they be singled out.
But based on their profile, having been in the Royal family, there is naturally going to be more criticism coming their way. But that is something that they will have to live with.
