There are some rumors out there that we can expect a feud to start between Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee this Thursday when Vince appears on McAfee’s podcast to kick off their storyline.
This is pretty interesting since Vince hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 26 in 2010 when he lost to Bret Hart in a no holds barred match and he’s currently 76 years old.
Age has never seemed to stop him before as the first stepped into the ring when he was in his 50, so he’s shown he’s not afraid to mix it up.
If the reports are true, Vince’s appearance on the Pat McAfee Show will be his first like interview since Steve Austin in 2014, and this is where their feud’s expected to start.
It won’t be surprising if Vince starts something on the show, but it’ll be subtle since McAfee’s show is his own and not a WWE property.
It could be a simple challenge, and the feud is expected to culminate at WrestleMania in a match.

Turning up the heat
McAfee has some experience going from announcer to wrestler and back again from his time in NXT where he feuded with Adam Cole and the Undisputed Era before he moved to Smackdown as color analyst.
We’re curious how they’ll set this up if it’s going to happen, but also can’t help but feel a little cheated.
Hulk Hogan challenged Vince a couple of years ago to a final match because Hogan wanted his official last match to be in the WWE, but the challenge when unanswered.
While they could’ve handled it well in a tag match, it’s a match we’ll probably never see, with McAfee getting Hogan’s spot instead.
For those expecting a WWE sale, this could be Vince’s final match of his career and he’ll want to get it in on the grandest stage before he sells.
That’s just a quick thought, but of course, all of this is assuming Vince will be the one wrestling.
Austin Theory’s time
With it apparent AJ Styles will face Edge to become immortal, it makes sense that Vince will Tag Austin Theory to be his representative against McAfee in their match.
Given his age, it makes perfect sense and this could be the beginning of the resurrection or a new Corporation angle with Theory as Vince’s top guy.
Like many, we think Theory would be better off trying to make his name against Edge. But it also is predictable and Vince may be trying to avoid that, hence his possible feud.
There are so many different angle this could go we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens on Thursday.
