With the Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey choosing to go after the Smackdown Women’s Championship, the RAW Women’s Champion needs a challenger for Wrestlemania. With the Elimination Chamber here, there’s the perfect chance to decide just who gets to challenge for the belt at Wrestlemania. Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H and Bianca Belair are former champions in this match, while Doudrop & Liv Morgan have recently challenged Becky Lynch for the gold. Add in a returning Alexa Bliss – and we have a match.
Bianca Belair Wins A Very Rushed Elimination Chamber Match
Morgan & Nikki would start this match, with Morgan hitting a hurricanrana to start. Nikki pulled Morgan into the bottom rope, before she’d focus on Ripley instead. Morgan would fail to take advantage before having her face hit off the foam pads that cover the steel.
Doudrop was the third one in the match, and she’d drive Nikki into the side of the chamber. Morgan would come after Doudrop and get hit with Wasteland before a running senton. Nikki would side step Doudrop who ran into the ring post.
Rhea Ripley was out next, who superkicked Doudrop before slowly stalking after Nikki who climbed the stage. Nikki was hit off the wall of the chamber and fell onto Doudrop, before being Eliminated with the Riptide in the ring.
Bliss would hit the ring and took down Morgan & Ripley before getting a nearfall off Insult to Injury. Morgan would climb the corner only to be shoved by Doudrop, before taking Doudrop out of the match with a Sunset Flip powerbomb.
Belair hit the ring, and quickly slammed Morgan into the ring with one hand. A moonsault to Bliss would follow, before Ripley & Belair both hit delayed vertical suplexes. Belair would go for K.O.D on Ripley before Morgan hit a double codebreaker. Bliss hit the running neckbreaker and Twisted Bliss on Morgan for the elimination.
Ripley would be hit with a DDT, and K.O.D took her out of the match. Bliss hit a Code Red for a two count, before Belair powerbombed her into the chamber. Belair would miss the 450 Splash, before being rolled up for a near fall. K.O.D landed, and Belair is going to Wrestlemania.
Ronda Rousey Beats Sonya Deville With One Arm Tied Behind Her Back
At Wrestlemania, Ronda Rousey will get a chance to claim the Smackdown Women’s Championship when she meets Charlotte Flair. However, tonight at Elimination Chamber – she joins forces with Naomi to battle Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville for a tag team clash. Naomi & Deville have had issues for months now, with their issues extending past the Royal Rumble.
Due to Deville having to wear a sling after an armbar from Ronda Rousey, Rousey has to work with one hand tied behind her back. They’d start the match, and Deville revealed her arm is fine. Ronda was not bothered and would kick Deville in the head before a step up knee strike.
Naomi made the tag and got the thesz press on Deville before being launched into the corner and slammed down into the mat for a two count. Deville missed a lariat before Naomi hit a bulldog into the corner before Rousey almost got the armbar applied with ease. Charlotte would go after the free arm of Rousey, despite the other one being more by her side than behind her back.
Rousey would fight free of the Flair/Deville corner, before Naomi got the hot tag. Some quick kicks would follow before the hurricanrana sent Flair into the corner. Flair blocked a second hurricanrana into a powerbomb before applying the Figure Eight. Rousey broke the submission and Deville tagged in. Running knee got a near fall, before Rousey tagged in and hit the Pipers Pit and applied the armbar for the victory.
