Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
Tonight should be an interesting one as it’s Elimination Chamber’s Go Home episode, but it was also prerecorded. The WWE gave their own spoilers last week, saying Sami Zayn will in the Intercontinental Championship from Shinsuke Nakamura, but we still expect it to be a great match.
We’ll be back at the 8 p.m. EST start time to kick WWE Smackdown Live Results into gear.
Segment 1
During their contract signing, Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville pointed out to Naomi and Ronda Rousey that Rousey has to wrestle in their tag match with one arm tied behind her back.
Rousey signed and then she and Naomi took them out and Rousey flipped the table onto them.
Segment 2
Sheamus w/Ridge Holland vs. Ricochet
They went back and forth early on, but Sheamus may have regained control after catching Ricochet off the apron and hitting a fallaway slam onto the announce desk as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
Holland got on the apron to help, but ended up nearly taking a Brogue Kick when Ricochet dodged him. Ricochet took advantage of their quick argument to hit a Recoil for the win.
Segment 4
We were treated to a really awesome video package celebrating the Undertaker’s 30 year career and the announcement that he’s the first inductee into the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame.
It was followed by a Goldberg and Roman Reigns promo video to hype their match tomorrow.
Segment 5
Ivar w/Erick vs. Jey Uso w/Jimmy Uso
This was a pretty good match that Ivar had won with a splash off the top rope, but Jimmy interfered by hitting Ivar with Erik’s headgear for the DQ.
Erik nailed Jimmy with a knee and then the same headgear to set up their match.
Segment 6
Drew McIntyre cut a promo on his match with Madcap Moss and asked for help from the WWE Universe with #MadcapMauling and promised Saturday will be the Night Laughter Died.
Segment 7
Intercontinental Championship – Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Sami Zayn
Nakamura started slow but quickly took over the match, but the tide may turn after he missed a knee drop to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
They continued with control going back and forth, but once back on the floor Nakamura missed a Kinsasha and hit his injured knee on the ring steps as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
A top flight match came down to Zayn kicking out Nakamura‘s injured knee and rolling him up as Nakamura looked to end it.
This was a great match, and the ending was refreshingly simple.
Segment 10
After a awesome promo from Paul Heyman as he interacted with the fans and celebrated Roman Reigns, Goldberg came out.
Goldberg apologized to Reigns for saying he’s next because when it comes to the Universal title Goldberg’s next.
This was a decent show, but the ending was extremely weak to set up their match when the rest of the promos were very solid.
What did you think of it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Live Results. We had an awesome time and can’t wait for next week.
See you then!
