Darby Allin has built up a great partnership with Sting, and despite his clashes with Matt Hardy – was more than ready to come to his aid when he was booted from the Andrade Family Office. Add in Jeff Hardy, who has finally made his way to AEW – and you have a very talented group. Tonight, they will all hit the ring for a tornado eight man tag team match with Butcher, The Blade, Isiah Kassidy, and Marq Quen.
Matt & Jeff Hardy Get Another Win Alongside Sting & Darby Allin
Allin would set the pace for the match with a crazy dive to the outside, and Sting would follow. Matt Hardy would focus on Isiah Kassidy, while Sting beat Marq Quen with a skateboard. Jeff Hardy dove onto the Blade, while The Butcher & Darby Allin fought into the crowd.
They’d catch up with Jeff & Blade, and Darby would try to choke Butcher out. Andrade El Idolo would get involved and whipped Darby with a belt before Allin was thrown down a flight of stairs. Back in the ring, Matt Hardy would land the Side Effect on Isiah Kassidy, before taking a trash can to the back of the head.
Blade had Jeff Hardy elsewhere in the arena, out by the merch tables. Butcher dragged Darby to a table, while Private Party hit a double suplex on Matt Hardy. Up on the ramp, Matt would fight off a neckbreaker attempt. Kassidy would beg off, but Hardy would look to delete him with a Side Effect off the stage.
Sting & Darby Allin put Butcher & Blade on merch tables, as Jeff Hardy got a ladder. He’d scale the building before a super swanton bomb. Back in the ring, Isiah Kassidy got a near fall before Sting made his way to help Matt.
Sting took a chair to the back, but just pissed the legend off. A set of Stinger Splashes would be followed by a Twist of Fate & Scorpion Death Drop – and this one was over!
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson Once Again Bring Violence To AEW
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson are starting to string together some tag team victories – after their mutual mentor William Regal forced them to get along. The Workhorsemen would prove little challenge, and the Best Friends team of Wheeler Yuta & Chuck Taylor didn’t do much more. Tonight, they meet a more established tag team in Varsity Blonds, a team who has challenged for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Danielson would take Pillman into the corner with some quick kicks, as Julia Hart would brood at ringside. Moxley pummelled Pillman, before being dropped with a dropkick. Garrison hit a big Stinger Splash before being tossed with a German Suplex.
Danielson would lay in a heavy midkick, before applying the surfboard stretch. Moxley would come in and nail the overhand chop to the unprotected chest. Danielson would see Garrison draped on the top rope, and a diving knee drop would land.
Pillman would nail a sloppy jackhammer on Danielson, and Moxley would come in and nail the King Kong Lariat as Danielson had the German Suplex set. Garrison would break up the pinfall, before the dropkick style Hart Attack would land.
Danielson would nail the Knee Strike, and Moxley hit the Paradigm Shift. Moxley would nail elbow strikes, and apply the rear naked choke for the win. After the match, Moxley would grab the microphone and say that there is one man’s opinion he’s ever cared about in wrestling – William Regals.
It’s not hard to get his approval, he had to earn it through some bloody brawls. If anyone thinks they can earn that same respect – it’s not hard to find them. If you want into the Blackpool Combat Club – you get in the hard way.
