Darby Allin isn’t done with the AFO yet. After Andrade & Private Party voted Matt Hardy out of the faction, Darby Allin & Sting would make the save – before the debut of Jeff Hardy. Now, Darby Allin gets one half of Private Party in singles action – as he faces Marq Quen. Quen isn’t the most experienced singles wrestler, which puts him in bad shape against the former TNT Champion.

Marq Quen Pushes Darby Allin To His Limits – Matt & Jeff Hardy Make The Post Match Save

Quen would lock up with Allin in the middle of the ring, and was taken to the mat with the side headlock takeover. Allin would lose hold of Quen briefly, and would have to fight his way out a hammerlock. Quen would be dumped to the outside, but Isiah Kassidy would shove his tag team partner out of the way of danger.

On the outside, Quen would be able to shove Allin into the steel steps. Back into the ring, Allin would now have a target placed on him. Quen would slow down the pace, and use his size to beat Allin down. Abdominal Stretch would be applied, before Allin fought free with a hip toss.

Quen would slip outside, and was able to trip Allin on the apron to regain control. Trying to mock Sting would lead to Quen hitting the turnbuckle, before being dropped with a superplex. Allin moved right into an armbar after Quen kicked out, before Quen flung him off.

A sunset flip attempt was blocked as Quen hit a moonsault knee drop, before the backflipping flatliner for the two count. Quen would look for the vertical suplex, before Allin blocked into the Scorpion Death Drop. Coffin Drop was interrupted by Kassidy, and Allin was sent to the floor – and Quen soared down onto Allin with the 450 Splash.

Back in the ring, Quen looked for the shooting star press – only for Allin to dodge, and apply the Fuijwara armbar for the victory. This is a new move for Allin, and notably also the finisher of his rival – MJF. After the bell, the Andrade Family Office would look to attack Allin & Sting, only for Matt & Jeff Hardy to come to their aid.

Jamie Hayter Gets The Massive Victory

Mercedes Martinez was brought into AEW with a purpose. That was to break down Thunder Rosa before she was able to get to a challenge against Britt Baker. This failed, and Martinez would end up uniting with Rosa instead. Now, Jamie Hayter has been tasked with taking down Martinez, giving what could be one of the hardest hitting matches in the history of the AEW Women’s division.

Hayter would start things off with a rear waistlock on Martinez, before ending up on the mat with the headscissors on the floor. Martinez would get forced into the corner, but dodged the strike of Hayter before starting a series of forearms and chops. Hayter would fight back, before being dropped with a lariat. Martinez would take a vertical suplex for a two count, before taking some elbow strikes to the face.

Hayter would refuse to fall, striking Martinez down before stomping on her head. In the corner, Hayter would choke Martinez, before being flung around with the Butterfly Suplexes for the near fall. Martinez would set the Fisherman Buster, before Hayter nailed the backbreaker for a near fall.

Hayter would take a suplex into the corner in response, falling on her head. Martinez would help Hayter to the top rope, before setting up the Spider German Suplex. Rebel ran a distraction, and Baker would nail Martinez with a forearm – before Hayter followed up with a lariat for the win!

Will Britt Baker remain AEW World Women’s Champion when she meets Thunder Rosa in Steel Cage? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world.
