Justin Bieber has reportedly dropped his defamation lawsuit against two women who sued the singer on the grounds of sexual assault.

According to reports, Justin was being sued for $20 million by two women. They had apparently accused the musician of sexually assaulting them during the period of 2014/15.
Although Justin denied doing anything of the sort, he felt he had no choice but to respond in kind. This was on the basis that he had seen his reputation being damaged as a result of “outrageous, fabricated lies.”
This idea of fabrication was based on two points. First of all, one woman argued that the musician had assaulted her at the Four Seasons hotel. However, Justin had allegedly not even been there and was in fact staying in a rental property.
Secondly, the other woman argued that the assault occurred in 2015, while he was in the area for the Met Gala. And yet, the woman allegedly admitted to having never met Justin on the date that the assault was apparently done.
Therefore, Justin’s legal team was of the view that the two women were cooperating together to damage his image. And after having picked out so many loopholes in the story, it made no sense to continue the lawsuit.
A source told TMZ: “Bieber decided to drop the suit because he felt he had made his point and wanted to move forward.” The response on social media was very mixed.
A certain subset of people felt that by dropping the lawsuit, it was an admission of guilt on Justin’s part. After all, if he really was innocent, then it would have made sense for him to continue with the case until the end.
Meanwhile, others believed that this was another attempt by somebody to extort money out of a famous person. One person wrote: “We all know he did it. But his white privileged is helping him.
“Watch this story be brought up 10-20 years from now with more girls speaking up against him then everyone gonna realize he’s r@p!st.”
