Kourtney Kardashian Credits The Importance Of Therapy In Helping Her Move On From Scott Disick Following Their Split-‘I See The Growth’
Kourtney, for her part, had been through a lot in her relationship with Scott. A combination of him being unfaithful, coupled with the fact that he had struggled with substance abuse, meant that she parted ways.
And things had not been helped by Scott’s insistence on wanting to get back together, especially since they had children. Once it became clear that she needed to work on herself, Kourtney decided to enter therapy in 2017.
As a result, she started to release all her previously suppressed emotions. In an interview with Bustle magazine, she said: “I just have feelings; like, an abundance of them. I would just start crying all the time.
“I see the growth that comes from those unhappy places which make it all worth it. I’m like, “If we didn’t go through these roller coasters, you wouldn’t get to the good part.”
And looking back, it was the right decision for her. She is now happily in a relationship with none other than Travis Barker, after having gotten engaged to him.
And rumours continue to emerge over when they will start a family, as well as walk down the aisle. With her life being in such a good place, she wants to ensure that she stays in a good place.
Her routine has also been accompanied by regular workouts and having a more balanced approach to life. She added: “I try to make myself available to my kids to really be a mom.
“And I want to be in charge of my time and schedule in order to do the things that are bringing me happiness.” Kourtney has come a long way since her split from Scott.
While the latter has failed to settle down in the aftermath, Kourtney’s life has gone from strength to strength. And she should be credited for putting in the hard yards to make herself happy.
