It’s been quite some time since Nia Jax has been seen within a professional wrestling ring. Following her release from WWE in 2021, she would move on from the industry – but has kept contact with some of her old co-workers all the same. This has led to her perhaps getting some information on just how low morale is in the WWE locker room. Long story short – it’s perhaps the lowest it’s been in years.
Nia Jax Claims She’s Hearing That “Everyone Is Miserable” In The WWE Locker Room
Despite moving on from the wrestling industry, Jax still gets contact from fans who would actually like to see her return to the ring. Recently, one fan would ask Jax to return to WWE to chase the WWE Women’s World Tag Team championships alongside Doudrop. However, Jax has no plans to return to WWE – and would claim the following.
“lol no thank you! I get calls daily on how everyone is miserable there”
This sadly does not come off as a surprise. While WWE keeps pulling in record profits, especially due to the insane profits from their Saudi Arabia supershows – it has come at a cost. 2021 was a tough year for the WWE roster, as seemingly every single month – more people would be cut from the roster.
While in 2022, there have not been any mass releases, they recently did lose Cesaro. Cesaro was not released, but chose to leave the company after 11 years on the roster. When people like Cesaro are jumping ship, that is a sign that things are in a poor state. He’s also someone who was universally loved backstage, which couldn’t have helped the poor morale of WWE.
It’s unlikely that truly ‘everyone’ is miserable in WWE, as the likes of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and AJ Styles have all signed new WWE deals very recently. The top talents are the ones that WWE keep happy, but this likely more is an issue in the lower and midcard of the roster.
