Last night, BUSHI was on the wrong end of a powerful Streets Of Rage from Aaron Henare, but tonight should be an easier match for BUSHI. He’s got young lion Kosei Fujita, who will step into the ring in Osaka-Jo Hall – and hopes to pull off perhaps the biggest upset of the year in the process.
BUSHI Was Never In Danger Of Losing Tonight
Fujita would take BUSHI down to the mat to start this match, before seeing the underrated mat skills of BUSHI. BUSHI would be taken to the mat, before slapping the taste of the mouth of Fujita. The young lion would take BUSHI to the mat before some heavy forearm shots to the face.
He’d quickly regret this, as BUSHI shoved him into the corner and bullied him with chops to the chest. BUSHI would take some return chops, before being floored by the dropkick. Fujita would look to pop the hips and hit a belly to belly suplex, but had to settle for another dropkick.
The Belly to Belly Suplex would land on the second attempt, before Fujita looked to apply the boston crab. BUSHI would slip free, before nearly being caught with an inside cradle. A dropkick would follow before a backdrop sawBUSHI apply the Boston Crab – and force Fujita to tap out.
Guerrillas Of Destiny Continue To Settle Into Their New Face Alignment
The back end of the New Japan Cup tour has been a bad time for the Guerrillas of Destiny, as they have been kicked out of and victimised by BULLET CLUB. Having found allies in Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato, as well as Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tonight, they once again face Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, El Phantasmo, Gedo & Taiji Ishimori – who are familiar foes at this point.
A massive brawl would break out, with everyone splitting off and creating chaos. ELP would get Master Wato in the ring, as Taiji Ishimori would work on Ryusuke Taguchi. Six Or Nine would hit a double drop toehold into a double dropkick on ELP, before Wato would be isolated and stomped by all of BULLET CLUB – when the weight of Fale alone is back breaking enough.
Tama Tonga was able to get the tag, and would unload some big right hands and a back drop. Ishimori would take a stinger splash, before ELP took the second. A bulldog/lariat combo would follow, before Loa hit the spear to wipe Ishimori out. Gedo would get the tag and hit some jabs, before Jado got the tag and would go after his longtime friend turned rival.
Fale tried to make the save, only for G.O.D to take him out. Gedo took a series of strikes and a back suplex for a two count. Taguchi & Wato would take out ELP & Ishimori. Jado applied the OJK, but Owens hit a blindside C-Trigger, and pulled Gedo into the pin.
Toru Yano Has Plans For His Next KOPW 2022 Defence
Taichi could be on his way to face Toru Yano for the KOPW 2022 Championship, after beating him in the first round of the New Japan Cup. Tonight, they bring factionmates into a six man tag team match – and hope to bring victory. Yano has brought Tomohiro Ishii & YOH, while Taichi has Minoru Suzuki & Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
Yano has suggested two sets of rules for a potential match. Sumo rules, or a cherry blossom picnic match. Fans will have a chance to vote on the results, but we know that Taichi will get the next chance. Suzuki-Gun will attack before the bell, with Taichi after Yano – and Suzuki & Ishii mauling each other.
Yano would get isolated in the Suzuki-Gun corner, before Kanemaru would hit some hard elbow butts. Suzuki hit the ring, still bitter about the whole Dog Cage match, and Yano quickly tagged in Ishii. Ishii would stand tall against the strikes of Suzuki before managing a vertical suplex.
YOH would get the tag, and was able to block the Satellite DDT before a dropkick and suplex would almost drop the Heel Master. Taichi would get the tag and hit an Axe Bomber into the corner. YOH would survive a second Axe Bomber in the middle of the ring, before dodging a Buzzsaw Kick and nearly getting the roll up win.
Yano would rush the ring and was tossed aside, before the stiff elbow strike ended this match with Suzuki-Gun getting the win.
What type of match will Taichi have to endure when he faces Yano? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
