Online Poll Suggests That Prince Harry Is Disrespecting His Paternal Grandparents By Missing Memorial Service
The results show that most people think the Duke of Sussex should have strived to be at the commemoration service as a show of reverence to Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth. A royal fan said, “It is his grandfather, and out of respect for the Queen, he should go as he did for the funeral.”
In the meantime, some royal fans were still pleased he was skipping the memorial due to the distraction that he will bring after he and his wife, Meghan Markle resigned as functioning members of the royal family in 2020.
One of the royal fans that supported Prince Harry’s decision claimed that “If he attended, all the attention would be on him. This day is meant to honour Prince Philip. It is a relief he will not attend.” When asked if he was in support of Harry’s decision to skip the memorial, another fan said, “Yes I think this time he has listened as his presence would have been a distraction because this day is meant for Prince Phillip and the Queen.
However bad it looks right now, he has done the right thing for the family.” Prince Harry has divided public opinion significantly in the past few days after declaring that he would not be present at the memorial service of his grandfather, Prince Philip in London on March 29.
