Prince Harry has been blasted after releasing a promotional video for the Invictus Games, especially since reports confirmed he will not be attending Prince Philip’s memorial.

The Invictus Games is an opportunity for those that have been injured in the military to compete against each other. While it is natural for Harry to be associated with this by virtue of the fact that he did serve in the British Army, his video has raised a few eyebrows.
In the video here, we can see that it has been filmed in his house in California. Harry is dressed in all orange, as he asks the other members about some dutch phrases. And after doing so, he points and tells everyone that he is ‘ready’ for the games.
Naturally, this raised a lot of talking points. Harry’s critics were of the view that this was very disrespectful for the following reasons. First of all, he decided to prioritise a sporting event at the expense of honouring his grandfather.
Therefore, it demonstrated a man that was very self-centred. Secondly, in any event, the manner in which Harry was filmed was not something to be desired. The focus should have been less on him and more on those that would be competing.
Darren McGrady, who happens to be a former Royal chef, had this to say: “His grandfather would have given him a clip around the ear and told him to grow up.
“The Queen will be devastated, and Princess Diana would, too, if she were here.” The response on social media was equally one of condemnation. People could not believe that Harry had gone from the Royal family to this.
One person wrote: “How the mighty have fallen.. from Prince to court jester juggling balls to now court clown… sad very sad.” It is safe to say that Harry’s video did not go down very well.
