Bron Breakker knows who is next for him as NXT Champion, after Dolph Ziggler defeated Tommaso Ciampa last week in glorious fashion. The aid of former NXT Champion Bobby Roode was all that Ziggler needed to claim a win over The Pulse of NXT. Now tonight, the former RAW Tag Team Champions look to prove a lesson to Breakker & Ciampa in tag team action.
Tommaso Ciampa Matches The Attire Of Bron Breakker
Ciampa would rock a singlet alongside Breakker, which commentary described as “Steiner Esque” – but Robert Roode brought back his OG Theme song before Zigglers took over. Breakker & Ciampa would rush down The Dirty Dawgs for a brawl – but Roode would be able to quickly take control.
Ciampa was put into the ring, before Breakker helped to set up a dive to the outside. In the ring, he’d get a chance to get some revenge of Ziggler, as he tossed him into the waiting arms of Breakker. A spinebuster would follow, before Roode would save Ziggler from a massive slam. Zig Zag landed, before Roode came in and hit a neckbreaker.
The former NXT Champion was getting a ‘Welcome Home’ chant from the NXT fans, while Ziggler got a ‘You don’t go here’ chant. Breakker would fight out of a chinlock, but Roode would slip in with a picture perfect vertical suplex. Diving elbow drop got a two count, before Breakker finally found an opening to tag in Ciampa.
Tommaso Ciampa Evens His Score With Dolph Ziggler
Roode would block Fairytale Ending and hit a backdrop, before cutting the ring in half. When it comes to tag team wrestlers – you don’t get much better than a man who has twelve tag team championship reigns over his career. Add in a variety of partners, and he’s as adaptable as they come. This experience would help keep Ciampa isolated through the picture in picture break – only for Ziggler to get tossed from the ring.
Roode would sneak around and yank Breakker off the apron and toss him into the crowd. Dirty Dawgs would hit a hip toss into a powerbomb on Ciampa, getting a two count. Ciampa shot back with a jumping knee strike – and this time he’d complete the tag. The NXT Champion rushed through Ziggler with a Belly to Belly Suplex, and Roode was tossed aside.
Ziggler blocked the spear with a knee strike, before Breakker took him down. Ciampa tagged in and would hit the Steiner Bulldog alongside Breakker – with Roode making the last minute save. Ziggler got a roll up for a two count before nailing Fairytale Ending for the victory.
