It has been a rapid rise in WWE for Bron Breakker. Having made his debut on the same day as the NXT 2.0 rebrand, Breakker was tasked with immediately making an impact, and a fast victory over LA Knight would do just that. He also closed out the show, confronting the new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa – kicking off a rivalry that would end with Breakker as champion. As quick as his rise up the card of NXT was, his debut came even quicker.
Bron Breakker Found Out About His Debut The Night Before It Happened
Now as NXT Champion, Breakker is taking on all roles as champion – which also includes more interviews with the press. While speaking with Sean Ross Sap, he would be asked about the inner workings of his debut in NXT – and how soon he knew he’d be hitting TV.
“The day before. The night before. I didn’t have plans in my head. The dynamic was a bit different back then. Things were different. I was just focused on the daily training and trying to get better. I still have a ton of work to do and I’m still new. During that time, I was brand new. All I was focused on was practice and being on time and those things.”
NXT Success Won’t Be All Someone Like Breakker Finds In WWE
After succeeding in that sink or swim moment, Breakker was on a rapid path to the top of the brand. Getting to work with the likes of Johnny Gargano, Roderick Strong & Tommaso Ciampa showed that he can hang with the best the brand has to offer – and he looked perfectly natural even in WarGames. He has been living up to the hype that the Steiner name provides, even if WWE refuses to call him Bronson Steiner.
Easily the most promising prospect on the NXT 2.0 roster, fans are not surprised to already see him on top. It will likely not be a long run in NXT for Breakker, with main roster success easily in his future. Fans saw him as a Wrestlemania main event talent even after his loss to Tommaso Ciampa at Halloween Havoc, and he’s only gotten better since then – despite the short time since then.
