As NXT Champion, Bron Breakker has a massive target on his back. Right now, Santos Escobar is looking for a shot – and thought that the three on one numbers advantage would be enough to get Breakker beaten down in the parking lot. However, Tommaso Ciampa has stepped up to help out his latest rival – and after several battles built up respect, there’s no question on if they can co-exist.
Draco Anthony Was Unable To Avoid A Teachable Moment
Before this match, we’d see the debut match of Draco Anthony on NXT 2.0. He’s ex-military, and someone who has put in the work in the WWE PC. Andre Chase got his chance to teach Draco something tonight, as they met one on one.
An armdrag sent Draco across the ring, before he’d apply a headlock. Chase turned things around before being shoved off and nailed with a shoulder tackle. Draco would nail a big powerslam, before a punt kick to the midsection.
The big toss would get Draco a two count, before Chase nailed the russian leg sweep and some stomps while being cheered on by the Chase U student section. Draco would stomp on the flag of Chase U after dropping Chase, but this just enraged Andre Chase. He’d nail a big Flatliner – and this was over. Next week – Andre Chase sets his eyes on Von Wagner.
Bron Breakker & Tommaso Ciampa Take The Fight To Legado Del Fantasma
With Santos Escobar at their side – Wilde & Mendoza were ready for a big main event. Ciampa would start alongside Wilde, and was able to keep up with his pace before nailing a big chop. Mendoza was able to out-pace Ciampa however, but things fell apart when he tried to out-strike him. Ciampa would stomp him into a corner – but Mendoza just dodged the knee strike.
Breakker finally made his way into the match, and caught the single leg attempt before rolling Wilde up into a suplex. Mendoza wanted to make the save, but Ciampa caught him while Breakker held Wilde up. After impact, Ciampa & Breakker gave themselves a bat on the back.
Following the commercial break, the numbers game was catching up – as Escobar would throw Breakker into the steel steps behind the back of the official. Wilde & Mendoza would keep the pressure on in the ring, beating down the young champion. Ciampa would turn the match around with a tag, as he took down both members of Legado.
Breakker would get tagged back in, with Ciampa launching Wilde into a spinebuster. Escobar got on the apron causing a distraction, and Mendoza hit a missile dropkick and phoenix splash for a near fall. Mendoza kept moving, but was cut in half by a spear. Wilde broke up the pinfall, before Ciampa sent him through the table. Breakker nailed the Gorilla Press Slam, and it was over in the ring.
