For several weeks, Joe Gacy & Harland have been trying to recruit Draco Anthony to their side. They’ve been unsuccessful, and Anthony has managed to get Xyon Quinn on his side as a potential backup. Tonight, he clashes one on one with Joe Gacy, the biggest match in his young career.
Draco Anthony Gets Dropped By Joe Gacy
Anthony would dodge a blow from Gacy before applying a headlock. Gacy was shoved off the ropes and came back with a shoulder tackle. He’d offer a hug to Anthony, before getting kicked away and hit with a hip toss. Gacy would slip into the corner and nail a snap DDT.
Anthony would try and fight back into the match, but took a headbutt to the jaw. Gacy would take a shot to the jaw before nailing a Sambo Suplex for the near fall. Anthony had the elbow of Gacy driven into his jaw, before being able to drop Gacy with a shoulder tackle.
Gacy would be suplexed across the ring – before being able to come back with the back handspring lariat for the win.
Bron Breakker Will Take The Brand Back For NXT Fans
This Saturday, Bron Breakker has a chance to reclaim the NXT Championship. On the same weekend as his father and uncle enter the Hall of Fame, he will headline Stand & Deliver against Dolph Ziggler.
However, it’s not just about winning gold. It’s about proving that Ziggler is a fool for overlooking the challenge of someone like Breakker just because he’s fresh in his career. With less than 30 matches under his belt, he’s already claimed one of the biggest prizes in the game.
Now, he’s in the main event of the biggest show since the switch to NXT 2.0. This is not something he’ll take lightly. He proved he can be the guy during his first reign – and now he looks to defend the honor of NXT from a man who thinks he’s bigger than the brand. Ziggler takes everything he needs – and gives nothing back.
Meanwhile, NXT is Bron Breakkers life. If he’s not in the ring for the fans, he’s working sunrise to sunset in the WWE Performance Center. That extra work will come into play on Saturday, when Bron Breakker takes his championship back.
After clashing with Lash Legend, Nikkita Lyons is coming back into the ring for her second match on NXT TV. Her debut was a dominant victory that went viral, and Lyons is hoping to repeat that tonight. Tonight, her opponent is Salone Jacobs (also known by some as Notorious Mimi).
Jacobs would send Lyons off the ropes, and was hit with a shoulder tackle. Lyons would set up a suplex, and Jacobs fought it off before being dropped with a kick to the jaw. Jacobs hit a double knee armbreaker, before being tossed across the ring.
A samoan drop would set up the spin kick – and a splits legdrop into the pin would get the win. After the match, Lash Legend called her out for a real challenge. They’ll clash next Wednesday on NXT TV.
