Fans demanded to see Blackpool Combat Club in action tonight on AEW Dynamite. Tony Khan would agree, and tonight Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and Wheeler Yuta will take on The Factory. QT Marshall, Aaron Solo, and Nick Comoroto have a deep challenge ahead of them, but anything is possible in an AEW ring. Wheeler Yuta was the hometown hero tonight, and got a massive reception from his people.
Blackpool Combat Club Won’t Be Stopped
This one would start with a brawl, with Blackpool Combat Club easily taking advantage. Comoroto would stand in the ring with Moxley, as was able to use his size to get the advantage. Solo would lose it following a tag, as Moxley nailed a forearm to the nose.
Moxley would tag in Yuta, who would force Solo to make a tag. Comoroto would nail a big back body drop before Marshall would slow the pace down. Comoroto would dump Yuta out of the ring, and slammed him face first off the apron.
Solo would apply a neck crank on Yuta, prompting Moxley to make the save. He was knocked from the ring, and Marshall tried to prevent to tag to Danielson. Yuta would nail a German Suplex before completing the tag. Danielson would kick Solo into the corner, before nailing a suicide dive to Comoroto & Marshall.
Back in the ring, Solo took the flying dropkick, before being taken into the LeBell Lock. Marshall made the save before being suplexed and taken out of the ring. Danielson hit a massive superplex, before Yuta would hit the ring. Once again, Comoroto would overpower Yuta and toss him across the ring.
Oklahoma Stampede would see Yuta block into a chokehold, before moving into a rear naked choke. Comoroto would remain standing, before the Hammer & Anvil Elbows beat Comoroto down – with Yuta getting the Seatbelt Pin applied for the victory.
Wardlow Slays The Murderhawk Monster
Last week, The Butcher was unable to cut Wardlow down – but MJF had a backup plan. He’d pay Lance Archer to take the next shot, and the Murderhawk Monster is always down for a fight. Wardlow has proven to be tough, but can he slay a monster? He’d find out, as he came to the ring handcuffed, with no music and a security detail – all demanded by his employer MJF.
Archer would throw himself off the apron with a senton as Wardlow was unleashed – before Wardlow nailed a running hurricanrana in the ring. He was moving like a cruiserweight and hitting like a heavyweight, with some heavy shoulder thrusts and a spinebuster dropping Archer.
Archer would avoid the powerbomb, but Wardlow blocked the Iron Claw attempt. Both men hit the ropes for a lariat, and they’d clash in the middle of the ring. Heavy forearm shots were traded in the ring, before Archer would walk the top rope before a moonsault press.
A chokeslam would get Archer a two count, before looking to set up the Blackout. Wardlow would manage to counter the pinfall and get a two count of his own, before hitting a series of headbutts to Archer. He’d drop the straps, and hit the first powerbomb to the glee of the crowd.
Three more powerbombs would follow, and even Lance Archer wasn’t getting up from this. Instead of his music, Wardlow had the applause of the crowd – and MJF was getting annoyed at this.
Will MJF finally face Wardlow at Double Or Nothing 2022? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
